The Learning to Get Along series is a comprehensive book series that talks about various social skills Kindergarten students need to succeed. We hope to go over a new book each week with our students; each book talks about a different skill such as getting along with one another, learning to share, or listening. These books will be the foundation for our classroom skills learning and will help our students to learn positive behaviors in a fun and engaging way. We will use them on a regular basis and engage students in choosing their favorite story; as they grow more familiar with these concepts, their behaviors will improve in the classroom as well, which further aids itself to academic improvement and later life success. In addition to these books, we want to make sure we create a welcoming environment for our students- and so we would like to provide them with comfortable seating and fidget toys to use as they listen.
