Our school supports a growing community of ambitious learners from the South Bronx. Most of the students at this school live in low income housing and/or non-permanent apartments. The previous school was a failing school, before this school opened in 2013. Since opening, decreased violent behaviors has put learning at the forefront of the school day. Students come to school feeling safe and ready to learn. Our school serves students in grades K-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in our district. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in high school and college, and beyond. While our students continue to grow academically, our teachers and students are limited by the resources available.
