Our program is geared toward at risk families. Our program is federally run and funded. Most of our resources are spent during the school year but we do send home summer packets so the children can continue working through the summer.
We tried to choose items that may be difficult for our families to buy. The Pete the Cat books will help encourage our children to keep reading. I have 6 children who have already begun reading and they enjoy Pete the Cat the best. We chose Crayola markers and crayons so that the children can continue drawing forms and improving their fine motor skills, we also chose pencils and grips so they can perfect their pincer grip and master writing their names. We chose Play-Doh and bubbles so that our children can explore with their senses in a healthy and nurturing way.
Our children really enjoy creating out of nothing, so we are asking for Elmer's glue sticks.
