The materials and supplies that I am requesting will enhance the STEAM lessons I will be teaching in our library! This year we are developing a maker-space in the library and encouraging the innovator mindset.
Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials to design, invent, and build. The Makey Makey kits will be used to encourage collaboration and communication. Students will be working in small groups to solve a problem they have decided on. They will have to use critical thinking skills to design, build, and then evaluate their finished project. The Makedo toolsets and Canary Cutters will ensure all students, even the youngest, are safe and independent creators.
