Chair pockets are used constantly throughout the day in my classroom. I teach all inclusive, which means I teach the same students, all subjects for the entire day. When we switch between subjects a significant amount of instructional time is lost. This is due to the fact that they do not have somewhere adequate to keep all their supplies without making multiple trips to their lockers to put things away and grab supplies for their next project.
By donating to our project, you will help add more instructional time to our day and students will have their supplies with them. Students will finally be able to keep their binder, library books, folders and notebooks at their seats with them. It will be easier for my students to be able to put away on subject and grab the next subject. This is especially beneficial for my students who love to read. They finally get to keep their library books at their seats and would love to sneak in some extra reading time when they finish assignments early.
