The preschoolers with special needs in my class range from 3 years old to 5 years old. My students have a range of mild to severe disabilities, including autism, speech and language impairments, developmental delays, and intellectual disabilities. I believe it is important that all of my students learn to love looking at books and listening to stories, to give them a solid foundation for becoming good readers as they progress in their education. My students live in a low socioeconomic neighborhood in California. Students come from low-income families and 100% of our students participate in the free lunch program.
I want to help my students develop their literacy and language skills!
