I teach in a Title 1 school where the majority of my students live in the rural areas here in Appalachia Ohio. Many of my students lack technology or internet access in the home. There are a variety of needs and challenges represented by my students. Many of which hinder learning. In spite of this, together we have built a classroom culture and space that is both inviting and safe. A place where my students are eager to come to each day to learn and grow both academically and socially and overcome some of their hurdles.
