Our school is a title I school in California. Students receive free and reduced lunch. We are a very diverse campus with over 2,000 students speaking a variety of languages. Our campus offers a vast selection of college prep and AP courses along with a large selection of ROP classes.
Just like the campus, my classes are extremely diverse. In any one class session, students are able to communicate in more than four languages. Students in my physics course choose the class because they are interested in how the universe works; this is because physics is not a required course at our school. They want to learn more and they deserve to learn more by actively engaging in labs and activities.
I truly enjoy my profession. As a famous physics teacher once said: "Teaching Physics is the best job out there. Are there better paying ones? Yes. But are there better jobs? No. If there are, I've never heard of them."
