I teach special education in a public school in a low income neighborhood. I have eight 3rd and 4th grade intensive support students. These students have severe behavioral, academic, and social needs and spend the majority of their day in the special education setting. We strive every day to give our students hands-on learning experiences that will assist them in succeeding in the real world. Our hope is that they will become people who can enjoy and impact the world around them. Our classroom has many challenging aspects, but we are a family and we are on this journey together!
