Students at my school are very culturally diverse (perhaps the most across our entire district), coming from many socioeconomic households. Roughly 35% of the school receives free or reduced lunches. Our students are fortunate to be a part of a district that values Industrial Arts education and almost the entire 7th grade is able to participate in Woodshop. A large portion of the 8th grade is also able to take Woodshop as an elective and the class is in high demand.
