The students in my classes are culturally diverse. They have connections to nearly all regions of the world, and here they are, coming together in an American school. I am working on building a classroom where students have quality instruments that reflect their cultural origins as well as American culture. I have begun to acquire instruments from Africa, Latin America and the Middle East to go along with more modern Western instruments.
