I am requesting two (2) Dell Inspiron laptops for my classroom. My classroom currently has limited computer access. Having access to two classroom computers will open up a variety of learning strategies for my students. I am currently working on my Technology Integration Specialist Master's Degree through my local university. I have learned many new strategies and techniques to increase student engagement and promote 21st Century learning skills.
"Truly educated people people in the next century will not apply for a job, they will create their own" - William Cook, 1995. Students will use the classroom laptops to engage in a variety of learning activities that reflect 21st Century skills such as problem solving, collaboration, communication and creativity, among others. Students will engage in 3D modeling programs such as TinkerCAD and SketchUp. They will communicate and collaborate in projects that require creating and editing podcasts and videos. Students will learn about digital citizenship and research methods.
Help me prepare my students to be contributors in the 21st century.
