6th-grade students will participate in leadership activities, hands-on environmental science lessons from professionals, and experience the outdoors by reaching new heights with the zipline, big swing, and more.
Students gain from this outdoor immersive experience lifelong memories, friendships, and social-emotional skills that they can take into their future.
Science activities will include making field observations, nature journaling and learning more about Forests, Fire Science and Weather Forecasting that will align with what we have learned in class. The leadership activities will instill kindness as our school's initiative this year has been to make kindness normal through our Character Strong Curriculum.
