The young student musicians in kindergarten-5th gr. at Miller are special. They come to music class with positive attitudes, excited to learn FL Standards for Music. They even line up outside the door before and after school for extra music time.
Mrs. Hebert has taught and led music and arts ed for 24 years. She holds a BA in Music Ed. from UCF and a MA in Ed. Leadership from USF. Julie has served on the Boards for the Florida Alliance for Arts Education the Florida Center for Partnerships in Arts-Integrated Teaching, the Florida Music Education Association, the Florida Elementary Music Education Association, (Past-President) where she founded the Florida All-State Elementary Orff Ensemble that has become a model program for numerous states. Additionally, Julie is the Co-Founder and an advisor to the Manatee Arts Education Council. Lastly, she is a highly sought professional development leader.
