My students are very low-income, poverty students and come to school with the bare minimum needed. Most of the students have not seen their siblings attend college or even graduate from high school and that has a huge impact on their life. A large amount of the students do not even know where they are going to be at night so worrying about school supplies is not their first priority, if even a priority at all!
