Our 3rd grade classroom this year is focusing on STEM: science, technology, engineering & math, as well as reading & language arts. We are seeking a comfortable place to sit, read, hear a large group lesson, & study. We want a beautiful pond ecosystem rug to add to our learning environment. Our tile floors could be covered with just any rug, but this one truly covers the floor in an academically helpful way by accurately depicting one of our state's most valuable wetlands, the pond. This statewide ecosystem is one of our key units of study and will be used by everyone all year. This area rug will serve as a constant visual to my students as we get to know the outdoors while we study, read & learn inside our collaborative classroom.
