The alphabet tub will help my students visualize specific things that make the sound of the alphabet. It will also give them tactile experience that so many students need.
Each of the tubs contain a letter and inside the tubs are several items that represent that letter. The students can look and touch each of the items and be used for different standards all year long. As the students become proficient, they will learn the sounds and even how to spell and sound out all the items in the tubs. The tubs will be useful for years to come and enjoyed by all who enter my classroom.
