Our students live in a low socioeconomic neighborhood, many of whom depend on the school to be the center of the community. Teachers spend large amounts of their own money to provide students with school supplies and snacks in order for them to have the needed materials and energy for successful learning. Many of our students rely on visual representation of the materials because they do not have the background knowledge needed to successfully comprehend the materials for the grade level standards.
