After teaching in Early Childhood for many years, I am starting a new position as a K-5 Special Education Resource Room Teacher. My new school is in a high rural poverty area. Many children have experienced trauma at various levels. I am trying to transform the bare classroom into one that is inviting, comfortable and conducive to many sensory, social emotional needs and learning styles. I know the small classroom budget will not meet all of the needs. I am hoping through Donor's Choose and some teacher mini grants that I can transform my program and provide the learning opportunities these children will need. Thank you for supporting the education of children!
