I teach a full day kindergarten program. The students attend a public school in a fast developing rural community in Michigan. We are of moderate poverty, meaning that some of the students in my class qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. Some of my students also qualify for additional academic support during the school day. Our school includes about 500 students. My students learning through direct reading, writing and math, as well as through play. They are motivated and excited about learning.
