Never underestimate the exposure a child receives. This year, my students are very articulate. They actually look forward to coming to school to learn whatever is new and amazing to their young minds.
After a class poll was taken, it was brought to light that many of my students have not had experience with coding.
The funding of this project, will allow my students to get involved with problem solving through the experience of coding. This opportunity will allow them to work together to achieve a common goal.
The exploration with Vector will allow my students to become better critical thinkers as they create solutions to problems. It will also give them the exposure they need to compete with other students who have learned about this high demand skill. It is anticipated that students will care for the Vector Bot as a classroom pet and code it’s daily actions. They will reinforce skills demonstrating responsibility and programming to create something exciting for the class to explore. The vector Bot was chosen because of it's capability to interact with students.
All of the materials will foster lots of motivation to ensure that students are fully engaged in the project, and are college and career ready.
