My first grade students are active and energetic. I work with 17 busy students who like to move often. i work with two students from the special ed classroom, two students working with a resource room teacher and several students that just need to move frequently. My classroom is located in a lower income town in Upstate New York. I want to make learning fun with lots of movement but sometimes the curriculum making it difficult to teach with constant movement. The students love to pair share, come to consensus, and work with partners, but some assignments and assessments make that difficult as well. Our school strives to make learning engaging and active.
