We are currently learning about how fossils are made, what they tell us about the past, and what paleontologists do. This culminating experience will be the highlight of our learning! Students will exhibit perseverance, responsibility, initiative, and collaboration as they excavate their own mini dig sites. These kits contain several real fossils and mini dinosaur models that they will assemble. Each student will get a keepsake from their excavation. Through this activity, they will practice using tools that paleontologists use and will be recording discoveries that they found in their dig site. This is an experience my students will remember for years to come!
