Diverse learners need diverse learning experiences. Mathematics are more than just numbers. Mathematics is concrete, visual and abstract. Students at all ages benefit from learning mathematics in a way that makes sense them. Math manipulatives allow students to do just that.
As a math coach at my school I visit and work with students from all grade levels. I want to be able to provide students with math experiences that allows them make their learning not just fun, but also be able to reach all learners no matter their learning modality, social or cultural background. I also want to model for teachers at my school that math is an extremely fun subject to teach. It is for this reason I'm requesting these manipulatives. I understand I'm asking for a lot, but I considered all the grade levels (Pre-K to 5) that I would be working with. Thank you in advance.
