I teach in a Title 1 school where many of the students receive free or reduced price lunch. When you and your family struggle to meet day-to-day needs, school is not always the first priority. That's why I am so excited to have a class full of excited and engaged first graders! My students come to school everyday ready to learn and excited about what we will be doing in our classroom. Unfortunately, to help meet the needs of our families, we are pulled in many directions financially. Therefore, my classroom lacks basic supplies for writing as well as those that will give them the opportunity to enhance their budding writing skills.
