My middle and high school students love engineering technology but most do not have any idea how it is created, developed, or programmed. I am teaching them the STEM skills necessary to not only use engineering technology but to be builders of technology and to share and document their work with others.
Every year, VEX Robotics gives the students a Challenge to which they must design, build and program their own competition robot.
To program the robots the students must have a basic understanding of coding languages like ModKit, ROBOTC or VEX Coding Studio. The students use this technology to develop an autonomous program required for VEX Robotics Competitions. The Dell Inspiron Laptop would be ideal for having a mobile programming station available with the team during the VEX Robotics competitions. This laptop is capable of converting to a tablet mode with touchscreen capabilities for an easy, on the go workstation. The i7 Processor and 16GBs of RAM is excellent for no lag when communicating from workstation to robot brain.
