I teach 4th grade in a major metropolitan city. My students are both racially and socioeconomically diverse. While our school community is is robust, only 2/3 of our students reside there, with the rest in a variety of situations throughout the city. As a result, our school receives no Title 1 funds and has no money for anything, and students or teachers need to provide things like paper, crayons, and basics. Everything we get is donation based from our generous and capable families. We are a STEM school, meaning we teach through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. As budgets are slashed, and class sizes increase, our technology has become a source for concern and we know we cannot keep up without the help of caring citizens like yourself. Please take a moment to consider helping us create opportunities for our students to be as up to date and capable as they can possibly be! Thank you so very much!
