My students are now exposed to a new reading series adopted by the school district and a revised math series. Many of the resources are online since the district had limited funds to purchase enough for each child. The computer currently available is unable to access some of the material.
The students attend a title one school qualifying them to receive free and reduced lunch. Most of these are students that have another language other than English at home. Over the years the school has tried to provide for these students academically enabling the school to score 'A ' or 'B' on the state test.
The parents of these students work two or three jobs. The free meals provided by the school are sometimes the only meal some students eat for the day.
