By providing students with these types of desks, they will be able to collaborate with each other as well as have opportunities to pull desks apart when needing to work separately. They will be able to show their work and put their own ideas right on the desks themselves. The desks provide opportunity for students to use dry-erase markers directly on the surface of the desk. They then can work as a group and be able to see each other's work as well as be able to add their input or idea to their peers work. This is extremely important because the learning styles of the individuals I have on a regular basis are considered below grade level. This means I have to find different ways to provide material and ways for these struggling students to be able to show their work in a fashion that they find interesting.
