My students are all classified as having Autism. They attend a special school for students with Autism and participate in self-contained classrooms. My students are all very capable when pushed to expand upon what they already know. My paras and I work hard to have them reach independence in many academic and daily living activities. I work hard to achieve a balance between academic and social skills, as these are both equally important skills for my students to learn. My students also enjoy reading, playing outside, gardening and cooking.
