Hi, my name is Julie Snider and I teach social studies to high school seniors in Muncie, Indiana. My students love learning about our government and history, but rarely get the chance to experience firsthand. My school is over 75% free and reduced lunch. Many of my students come from single parent homes and live well beneath poverty level.
Although we are a 1 to 1 school with each student having a Chromebook, we are still lacking in many areas of technology. I would love for my students to have every opportunity that students in other districts have. I want to give them the resources they need to be successful in life.
By offering them more chances to use technology and to become comfortable with it, I am preparing them not just for college, but for the future. My students will understand not just how to use technology, but how to utilize it to make their life easier and more efficient.
