With the materials I am asking for, the students will be able to understand the difference between conducting and insulating materials as well as demonstrate how to build a closed circuit while avoiding short or open circuits. The materials would also help my students understand how a circuit can convert electrical energy into light energy.
I love doing arts and crafts with my students to help them understand concepts. With these materials my students can build light-up sculptures, using something they are all familiar with- play dough! Not only does this create a fun learning environment, my students will love it!
