I have been entrusted with teaching 7th and 8th grade students English Language Arts. Through our ELA courses, students extend their speaking, listening, reading, writing, and thinking skills. Our school works to provide a safe, academic learning environment in which adolescents can thrive. The students in my classroom display flexibility, perseverance, and creativity. They share their talents by working as teams to achieve goals, by using technology to communicate/collaborate, and by showing respect for each others' strengths and challenges. We record our ideas and thinking digitally and through conversation. The students in my classroom all recognize that they can each grow as learners, as we focus on building a growth mindset.
