Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and empowers them to make choices that work best for them. While working independently, students are able to choose a place in the classroom that works for them. My students are currently able to work at their desks, at tables around the room, on the floor, or at crate seats near a counter.
I have seen how student choice leads to higher engagement and more focused and effective work time. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The fidget bands and ball chairs will allow small, non-disruptive movement for students with the wiggles. The stability balls and beanbag chairs will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options.
I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow more!
