I teach in a high needs, low income district. I feel it is important to make sure students feel safe, inspired, and most importantly supported. Creating a welcoming and functioning classroom has always been one of my top priorities. Having a consistent routine, a posted daily schedule, and a positive attitude has helped me run a successful classroom for over 10 years. This coming year I will 20 intelligent, kind and hard working first graders. Most of my students are English Language Learners and some with individualized education plans, specialized services or student support plans. With that being said there is a great need of differentiation in my classroom. It takes time, effort and resources to make sure all of my lessons, materials and support are targeted to each of my students. Finally, with YOUR help, WE will help each child access the curriculum and help them succeed. Thank you, Thank you!
