Technology helps our society function. These laptops will help enhance student technical skills, communication and collaboration opportunities, especially for my ELL (English language learners) students. Students will be able to practice math and science skills with online programs (e.g. online programs like Scratch to created artistic displays from coding, iReady, Prodigy math, Reflex math, Learning Farm, online apps, etc.). Since bringing technology into the classroom is considered the best way to provide a 21st century learning opportunity, we want to use these laptops to boost students’ capabilities of learning anytime, and anywhere across many programs. For example, Scratch is a coding program that connects the arts with technology. Students use coding to create all kinds of artistic outputs, like google logos, games, and other art animations. Another example is that we have a wonderful science program called "Discovery Education, " which is mainly targeted for ELL students and is packed full with science education tutorials, videos and activities. With the Notebooks, students will have access to online games, mini lessons, assessments and research opportunities. Students can explore different learning styles with technology. They will be very grateful for this donation. Will you help me make this happen for them?
