My kids come from a low socio-economic area. The entire school receives free breakfast and lunch. The schools FACS classrooms haven't been updated in some time but that's not what matters. What matters is that every one of my student's gain some kitchen experience, some sewing experience and financial literacy to make sure they will be functioning little people in the world we are living today. If I can provide tools and equipment for them to make this learning stage a little easier and run more smoothly we will have more time to spend in each area.
