Many of my students do not have the materials for drawing at home and are only used to a standard number 2 pencil. I am hoping to get them artist-grade pencils to work with and get them lamps to help study with still-life observation. I would also love to get drawing boards so we can become mobile with our art on sunny days. These boards would help expand their creativity to the outside world, where there is so much more to see and dream of. The tortillions will help the students blend instead of going to the bathroom to find soft tissue paper. This will make a world of difference in their drawing and a world of difference in the pride of their work.
