Hello! I personally chose these books because my students need more exposure to nonfiction texts and informational texts. When I teach Earth Science or American History I realize my students need more background knowledge on these topics. Therefore, each book in this project is aligned to South Carolina College and Career Ready standards. I find these books educational, engaging, and entertaining. I would like to offer my students books which will help them grow as readers, historians, and scientists. These books cover topics such as Native Americans, Colonial times, the American Revolution, geography, Earth science, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
