Preschoolers learn through hands-on active play in their environment. They also learn from interacting with other children and adults.The STEM materials I requested will allow my students to explore and develop scientific and mathematical concepts through play. I will use these materials as a supplement to science units taught in the classroom. As my students interact with these materials they will develop many skills like spatial reasoning, problem-solving, cause and effect, and fine motor development. These materials are open-ended and encourage creativity, exploration through trial and error, and the ability to focus on a task. Who knows, the next great scientist or mathematician may be in my classroom!

About my class
