Galt students will create a Magic Mirror, using a Raspberry Pi (mini computer) and monitor. The mirror will be able to show the daily weather, calendar, Twitter feed, and other fun information for students, as well as being an actual mirror. Using STEAM practices, we will create something the entire school can enjoy in the entry to our Maker Space. Students will learn to program the Raspberry Pi to display whatever they choose from the available options. The mirror will be built from a slim LED monitor, Raspberry Pi, wood, brackets, and an acrylic see through mirror. What will we see in our Magic Mirror? A bright future, indeed.
