My students sit in groups of 3-4. This is great for group work, but testing can be challenging. Using privacy shields allows my students to focus on doing their very best without the worries of whether or not others are copying them. My students will not have to be distracted by getting out their own folders to use as a makeshift privacy shield. Students work very well together in their groups, but when testing struggle to concentrate because they are so worried about others copying their work.
With the use of privacy shields, my students will be able to better focus on their individual work. My students are willing to help each other, yet when it comes time to test, they need to do their best work on their own.
