The Flipped Classroom is a 21st century idea to incorporate more technology into today's classroom. The students enjoy these things and the more familiar they are with them, at an earlier age, the better they will perform throughout school and their lives. The Flipped Classroom approach takes the classroom teacher, divides him/her and makes it where students can be reached at their individual level.
The students will have more control of their learning!!! It gives them the power to determine the pace at which they get new information, directions, and concepts. At the same time, the teacher is able to get involved with smaller groups of students to tailor to their learning needs. The Flipped Classroom means less time sitting in whole group and more time engaged and collaborating with fellow classmates.
The students will also use the tablets to digitally journal their learning. Through a variety of user friendly apps, they will have the capability to record audio, video, and photographs of their work. They will add them to a stream that their parents will have instant notifications and access to! The possibilities are endless. I am so excited to begin this journey with technology!
