I am currently a seventh grade science teacher in an urban district. Most of the students who attend my school are economically disadvantaged and need all the resources they can get at school. They thrive, however, when they are given the opportunity to expand their learning. The students learn best when they are fully engaged and what better way through the use of technology. Over half the student body are English Language Learners who benefit greatly from the use of online visuals to build vocabulary and background knowledge on current skills and topics. Through the use of chromebooks, students will have the opportunity to practice and reinforce early literacy, math, and science skills through interactive games, activities, and labs.
