I teach 8th grade students. I teach at a Title 1 school. This means that we have a very high percentage of students who live in poverty. I love working with these children and want to do everything I can to give them experiences that they most likely will not be able to get any where else.
My school has a largely Hispanic population. Some students live in homes in which English isn't spoken or written and others live in homes where parents can"t read or write in any language. This makes it difficult for students to get the academic support they need at home.
