"That's the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet." -Jhumpa Lahiri. My students don't have many opportunities to travel, so I want to provide them similar experiences through books.
Creating this library for my students creates opportunities for them to travel the world, to experience things they have never dreamed of, to spark creativity and wonder, all without them having to leave their seat.
The books provided will be available for in class and at home reading. My hope is that this library creates a love of reading that lasts them a lifetime.
The subscription will be used in our small group instruction, and will not only inform the students about world events, but will help them expand their comprehension and stamina skills.
