I work in the Special Education room in our school with kids from Pre-K through 12th Grade. I am working on meeting my students' needs for movement. I have multiple students in and out of my room all day and by the time they reach my room, they have been sitting for at least 75% of their day. With studies showing that movement is good for your brain, I want to provide that for them. Providing flexible seating, like stools, will help the kinetic learners in a classroom receive the movement their bodies need while they learn. When they enter my room, I want to give them the choice to either use a standing desk or wobble stool to expend their energy in a positive way.
