The students I work with are from a low-income area with precious few opportunities but that doesn't stop them from wanting to better themselves emotionally, mentally, and academically. Their motivation, some days astounds me. They want to understand their surroundings and how they play a part in the word or even better how they can impact their communities. However they often hit that roadblock of the lack in resources that can help them along their way. The school for all its efforts is wonderful but administration often cannot offer some of the new resources that are on the market. The school itself was built in the 1930's and is rich in history and is a point of pride of the students. They want to do the legacy of the school justice. The students are currently trying to work on collaborative and inquiry based skills that will help them succeed
