I chose books that show diverse people and cultures to give my students a better sense of the world. I want to expand their horizons about thinking and engineering with problem solving and STEM focused books. These two types of books will be used in my classroom to help teach students to preserver through a problem and to spread the message of respect for all people.
Before starting a STEM project, I might begin by reading "Iggy Peck Architect" to not only get them excited, but to share key concepts of how to effectively and efficiently complete a STEM activity.
