My students live in a small rural where the only opportunities are working for the local industrial plants, fishing or ranching. Most do not have the opportunity to experience Art and Science in a meaningful way. I feel our kids are getting left behind academically and culturally. The art supplies and Lego kits will help bridge this gap. My students needs to be exposed to coding, engineering, and Art in order to grow as individuals and be ready to compete at a higher academic level. With these supplies, I believe my students can become creative thinkers and problem solvers. My school is designated Title 1, which means that most of our kids are economically disadvantaged and do not understand that there is a world of opportunity out there waiting for them. These tools will help me create projects that help them see that they have the talent and intelligence to accomplish anything they can dream of.
